Papaer Mache Egg Chick - Easter

Well, this was a messy, yet fun project! :)
Even though it seems like Spring is here in Minnesota, it was still cold on the hands!  I made this paper mache in the garage. (As you can see by the fine photographs).  I tell you what, your hands can get cold in a hurry, in that sloppy mess!

Here is the finished product!

Now, I know it is not centered or perfect.  It is the first one I have made in years and I was in a time crunch!!

I don't think the 3 and 4 1/2 year-old are going to mind too much. :)

Here is a little bit on the process...

You can look for recipes for paper mache, but it is basically just flour and water.  If you are using it for something long term - you may want to look that up, so it doesn't get moldy on you!
Here you might find a mix that won't mold.

You can start with 1 cup flour and 1 1/2 cups water and go from there.  I keep mine pretty runny.  It is much easier to deal with.

I took strips of newspaper to make the base of it.  Because of time, I took tissue paper, to make the pattern on top of the newspaper.

Hey, I hope you liked it!  Thanks for stopping by!

Remember: God loves you  & Jesus is Lord!
